I’m a Digital Content Curator at National World and create Google Showcase panels as well as pitching and writing content for a variety of sites across the UK including Yorkshire Evening Post, Edinburgh Evening News, Sheffield Star and LondonWorld. I write national and regional content but specialise in people and television, particularly Love Island and Strictly Come Dancing. I’m originally from Yorkshire, but I’m now living in Northern Ireland. I studied journalism at Liverpool John Moores University and worked as a freelance writer throughout, whilst also being president of the Journalism society and playing for the hockey team. I love researching and collecting data to write articles - I recently used police information to gather together the ten worst places in Nottingham for anti-social behaviour. The story I’m most proud of ended up being a double page spread in the Belfast News Letter - it was an article about local people and politicians remembering where they were when 9/11 happened, and it included my own memory. In my spare time, I love to travel, go camping, read books (I recommend Look Both Ways by Linwood Barclay) and listen to music (shout out to Taylor Swift and Luke Combs). My favourite destination so far was Thailand - the people were so friendly, the weather was hot, the beaches were gorgeous and we ate some great local food along the way.
