Supporting a Great Cause

The Pemberton Old Wigan Brass Bands Organisation is home to three incredible bands:

- The Youth Band: Led by award-winning educator John Don-Duncan, this band is made up of talented young brass players who rehearse every Saturday morning. John offers free tuition, nurturing the next generation of brass players, many of whom have gone on to become some of the UK’s finest musicians. (Get in contact via our social media pages or website to find out more!)

- The B Band: A stepping stone for the youth players, the B Band helps them transition into the world of brass banding. This group performs locally in and around Wigan throughout the year, giving its members invaluable experience and exposure.

- The A Band: The pride of the organisation, the A Band is a Championship Section band, ranking among the best in the UK. Recently, they represented the North West of England and Wigan at the prestigious National Championships of Great Britain, held at the Royal Albert Hall in October. They are also known for their stunning performances further afield, such as a performance in Scotland just last month.

By attending Banders Bingo, you're directly supporting these talented musicians and helping to ensure that the tradition of brass band music continues to thrive in the Wigan community. Whether you're there for the bingo, the music, or the prizes, your participation makes a difference.
