Wigan's grottiest buildings revisited - with some new entries on the roll call of shame
Earlier this year Wigan Today featured some of the town’s worst and longest-running eyesores. Well, they’re all still there, sad to say, and now we have added a few more, rounding it up to a dozen grot spots.

5. Eckersley Mill, Swan Meadow Road, Wigan
Standing for more than 100 years, parts of Eckersley Mills at Wigan Pier have been begging for restoration and have been the subject of numerous unsuccessful planning applications. Parts of the former cotton mill building are still open with business units operating, but the building is falling into disrepair.
