Car destroyed in suspected arson attack

A car thought to have been driven by joyriders was abandoned and set alight.

Firefighters were called to wasteland on Westwood Way, Wigan, at around 9pm on Friday to put out the blaze.

The car, which was a Ford Focus estate, was fully burnt out.

The cause of the fire is believed to be suspicious and police were informed.
