A year-long road ban has been imposed on a Wigan motorist found at the wheel after smoking cannabis.

Borough magistrates heard police stopped Bryan Waite in a Vauxhall Astra on Kirkwood Close near his home on St David’s Crescent, Aspull, on August 16 and suspected he had been taking drugs, which tests later proved. The 21-year-old was also fined and ordered to pay costs and a victim surcharge totalling £239.
