Car driven dangerously towards funeral cortege and then set alight in Wigan
Police have now made an arrest in connection with this shocking incident.
A police chase began after officers in Scholes, who were investigating the supply of drugs in the area, attempted to stop a VW T-Roc on Scholefield Lane on April 7.
The vehicle was driven dangerously around the streets of Scholes as police pursued it, eventually returning to Hardybutts where it had first been seen.
The offender eventually abandoned the vehicle on Broomhey Terrace and set it on fire before fleeing along the canal.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said that following examination of CCTV footage and other enquiries a suspect has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and arson and bailed.
