Drink-drive ban for Wigan motorist

An 18-month road ban has been imposed on a motorist caught at the wheel while double the drink-drive limit.

Martin Webster, 32, of Walthew Lane, Platt Bridge, admitted to being under the influence of alcohol when driving a Vauxhall Vectra on Nicol Mere Road on October 26. Wigan justices also fined him £320 and made him pay a further £119 in costs and victim services surcharge.
