A motorist caught high on a cocktail of drugs has been banned from the roads for three-and-a-half years.

David McMullen, 38, of Jaffrey Street, Leigh, appeared before Wigan magistrates to admit driving a Ford Mondeo on Wigan Road, Leigh on April 27 last year without a licence or insurance after taking cocaine, cannabis and the prescription drug diazepam. As well as the 42-month disqualification, the driver was ordered to pay £395 in costs and a victim services surcharge and to complete 60 hours’ unpaid work.
