Drug driver hit concrete bollard then drove off

A two-year road ban has been imposed on a motorist who, while under the influence of cocaine, crashed into a concrete bollard then drove off.

Ben Garvey, 22, of Ennerdale Road, Leigh, admitted to Wigan magistrates that he took the drug and fled the scene of an accident after causing damage to the National Grid bollard on Leigh Road, Hindley Green on September 11.
