Police who stopped a motorist for erratic driving found he had taken cocaine and cannabis, a court heard.

Wigan magistrates banned 32-year-old Craig Thomas from the road for two years after he admitted driving a BMW40i without due care and attention while under the influence of the class A and B drugs on Warrington Road on May 12.

The bench also ordered Thomas, of Manse Gardens, Goose Green, to carry out 100 hours’ unpaid work and foot a £300 bill comprising a fine, costs and victim services surcharge.
