Hindley stabbing: Man in stable condition in hospital

The 36-year-old was taken to hospital with serious injuries following the incident in Riding Close on Saturday morning (February 13).

Police said he currently remains in hospital in a stable condition.

A 23-year-old man arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault has since been released on bail.

A police spokesman said: "Police were called at around 6.40am on Saturday, February 13 to a report of a stabbing inside a property on Riding Close, Hindley.

"A 36-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries where he remains in a stable condition.

"A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault. He has since been released on bail.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
