Hunt for clown mask raiders after Wigan break-in

Clown mask-wearing louts are wanted for a burglary and the attempted theft of a car in Wigan.

Greater Manchester Police said they received a report of a break-in in Milton Grove, Whitley, at around 10.35pm on Tuesday.

Then at around 12.35am on Wednesday, police received a report of attempted theft of a motor vehicle on the same road.

Officers are investigating both incidents.

Reports suggest offenders got into a house round the back and took keys from the kitchen while the occupants were watching TV in the living room.

They then saw the perpetrators driving off in a car and rang the police straight away.

Around two hours later, they were back trying the front door with the keys they had stolen.

It is believed the offenders were wearing clown face masks.
