Pensioner seriously injured following hit and run in Haydock

Police are appealing for information following a hit and run incident in Haydock on Thursday, April 15.

At around 7.20am, emergency services were called to Church Road to reports of a collision between a car and an 87-year-old female pedestrian, near to the junction of Kenyons Lane South. The car is described as black, but the make and model is unknown at present.

The female remains in hospital with serious injuries.

Witness and CCTV enquiries are now ongoing to identify the driver of the vehicle.
