Police hunt two men after residents shot at with BB gun

Police are hunting for two men after an incident which saw residents shot at with a BB gun.

Police were called on Monday June 22 at around 2.20am to College Street in Leigh following a report of a burglarly and assault.

Officers attended and investigations have since established that two men had entered the property and shot at residents with a BB gun.

One person suffered minor injuries that did not require hospital treatment.

The offenders left empty handed.

Police have now released CCTV images of two men they want to speak to following the disturbance.

Detective Sergeant Sarah Bell of GMP'S Wigan District said: "One person was left with minor injuries to the face as a result of this incident and we’re doing everything we can to trace those responsible.

“We have released images of two men we’d like to speak to as part of our enquiries so I would urge them or anyone who recognises them to get in touch.

“I would also ask anyone who witnessed anyone acting suspiciously in the area around the time of the incident to contact police.”
