Police investigating serious attack still looking for two men seen on CCTV

Detectives are continuing to search for two people as they investigate the vicious assault of a man on his way to work.

The 37-year-old man suffered multiple fractures to his face when he was attacked at around 7.30am on Easter Sunday, April 4.

Police say he was asked for money near Firbeck in Skelmersdale and when he said he did not have any, he was attacked.

CCTV images were released by detectives from Merseyside Police of two men and a woman they wanted to speak to about what happened.

While the woman has been identified, they are still trying to trace the men and ask anyone who can help to call them on 101, quoting log 0290 of April 4, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.

A 17-year-old and 19-year-old from Skelmersdale arrested in connection with the assault remain on bail pending further inquiries.
