Police are searching for an e-bike after it was stolen from a 14-year-old boy in a robbery

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a teenage boy was robbed of his e-bike.

They were called shortly before 5.50pm on Saturday to a report of robbery in Skelmersdale.

A 14-year-old boy had been followed by two males as he rode across a bridge on Whiteledge Road, towards Abbeystead.

One of them pushed him off his e-bike into bushes, while the other took the bike, discarding his own bicycle.

They left the area by going down a footpath towards Alderley and the M58.

Police want to hear from anyone who was in the area and saw what happened or anyone who has seen the e-bike since it was stolen.

Call 101, quoting log 0991 of September 5.
