Police seize off-road vehicles at borough green space

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said the two 4x4s had been driven to Bickershaw Country Park for a "Saturday rally".

One of the vehicles got stuck and a tow truck was required to extricate it.

Officers said in a social media post that the drivers were not from the local area.

Part of the Facebook post read: "Yet again these are vehicles who have travelled from outside of Greater Manchester to ruin your green spaces and put families using the park to social distance exercise at risk."

The neighbourhood policing teams for Abram and Leigh seized the vehicles.
