A judge will next hear the allegations of rape and other sex crimes made against a Billinge 34-year-old

The case of a Wigan man facing multiple rape, sexual assault and child abuse film charges has been sent to crown court.

James Taylor, 34, of Cob Moor Road, Billinge, appeared before borough magistrates charged with raping a girl aged 15 between February and May of this year and sexually assaulting her twice during that same period.

He is further charged with raping a woman between August and December 2023.

And it is also alleged that he made dozens of films between April and May this year of child sexual abuse: three falling into the most serious category, A, as well as 87 category B and 54 category C images.

Taylor is due to make his first appearance before a Liverpool judge on November 13.
