Trial date set for a Leigh man accused of twice going to a property which was subject to a closure order

A closure order had been issued by magistrates.

A Leigh man will stand trial next year accused of twice going to a property which was subject to a closure order.

The address on Westwell Grove, Leigh, was shut down by magistrates.

But Carl Havern, 52, of Findlay Street, faces two charges of entering or remaining at the premises, in contravention of the closure order, on August 27 and September 14.

He was remanded on bail by Wigan magistrates until a hearing at Tameside Magistrates’ Court on February 15.
