A man who armed himself with a hunting knife, imitation firearm and banned friction lock baton will be sentenced in March.

Terence Steward, 49, of Etherstone Street, Leigh, admitted to possessing the weapons and driving while insured when he appeared before Wigan magistrates. Now a Bolton Crown Court judge has fixed a sentencing date of March 17.
