Wigan dog owner to be sentenced over savaging
A Wigan dog owner has admitted she failed to stop her pet from launching an attack.

Julie Knight, 55, of Barn Lane in Golborne, appeared in the dock at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates’ Court to plead guilty to being in charge of a grey Weimeraner which injured a named male while out of control in Legh Street, Golborne, on Friday April 15.
She has been prosecuted under the 1991 Dangerous Dogs Act.
Sentencing was adjourned until May 19 for the preparation of reports.
