A Wigan man has admitted to dangerous and drink-driving on his 40th birthday.

Adam Nicholls, of Avondale Street, Standish, pleaded guilty to driving a Peugeot 207 dangerously on Atherton Road, Hindley, on April 8 and that he did so with 74 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath: double the limit. An interim road ban was imposed by Wigan justices until sentence by a Bolton judge on May 26.
