A man has admitted to driving dangerously while under the influence of alcohol.

Jake Needle, 28, of Wyre Avenue, Platt Bridge, appeared before Wigan justices to plead guilty to appalling motoring in a Renault Laguna on Croft Lane, Lowton on October 2 and also to having 61 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath when the legal limit is 35 microgrammes.

The bench ordered that he be sentenced by a Bolton judge on December 9.
