Wigan man admits headbutting 13-year-old schoolboy

A man headbutted a 13-year-old, threatened to burn down his house and menaced family members.

Connor Clarke, 19, of Withington Lane, New Springs, was given 12 months of community punishments including a 70-day curfew where he must not leave home between 7pm and 6am after admitting assaulting the boy, knife possession and using threatening and abusive language.

Bolton Crown Court heard Clarke had attacked and threatened the schoolboy in the street. The victim went home and told his mother who went outside and Clarke waved a large kitchen knife while verbally abusing her.

A few minutes later on Pinewood Crescent in Leigh he threatened to kill another member of the family.

Clarke chased him down the street but the victim avoided being caught by hiding in bushes.
