A man admits damaging a car but denies a Vagrancy Act offence of scavenging for metal.

Grant Schofield, 28, of Kermishaw Nook, Astley, appeared before Wigan justices to plead not guilty to being in a Manchester Road garden trying to steal scrap.
But he pleaded guilty to damaging Paul Pilling’s VW Polo on the same day.
Schofield is due to reappear in court on September 30.
