Wigan man pleads guilty to benefit fiddling

A Wigan man kept more than £4,500 in benefits which he had been wrongly paid.

Martin Hughes, 40, of Church Street in Standish, appeared before Wigan justices to admit three charges of dishonestly failing to take steps to cancel three credit payments of £1,525.44 in 2019. He was ordered to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work.
