A repeat shoplifter has been given 12 weeks behind bars for another theft and ignoring previous punishments.

Denis Hilton, 35, of Thorburn Road, Norley, stood before Wigan justices to admit snatching six bottles of Ariel washing gel from Pemberton Lidl and failing to comply with supervision requirements imposed for stealing from shops in Pemberton and Up Holland.
