Driver cut from car after crash

A two-car collision resulted in one driver sustaining a broken arm and the other having to be cut from his car.

Emergency services were called to Leigh Road, Atherton, at 7.30pm last night after the crash involving an Audi and a BMW.

Police immediately sealed off the road while the fire service began cutting the BMW driver, who had sustained pelvic injuries, out of his car.

A female passenger in his car had manage to self-extricate, as had the male driver of the Audi who had a broken arm.

A Fire Service spokesman confirmed that all three were taken to hospital.
