A Wigan mum's anger after her toddler daughter was injured falling from a bus

A Wigan toddler suffered facial injuries after a fall from a bus that her mum blames on bad driving.
Erin Beirne, 19, from Bryn suffered a serious fall on Monday February 23 when a Bee Network driver allegedly failed to lower the bus ramp.
Erin and the one-year-old daughter Arla-Mae fell from the vehicle with her pram and crashed onto the pavement.
The pair had boarded the bus in Bryn travelling towards Worsley Mesnes with the incident taking place on Warrington Road.

Erin said: "The driver failed to stop at the designated bus stop.
"Instead, he pulled over on Warrington Road, nowhere near the pavement.
"As I was attempting to get off with my pram, the driver did not lower the step.
"While trying to safely exit, my pram flipped forward, causing Arla-Mae to fall face-first.
"I fell on top of her and was unable to get up without assistance.
"A member of the public who got off the bus before me to let me past had to help me lift both myself and the pram."
Arla-Mae sustained injuries to her face with cuts and bleeding to the nose and forehead, resulting in the need to go to hospital.
In regard to the driver, Erin said: "He didn't really say much to be honest. He just said that I would have to ring somebody which I was already in the middle of doing anyway. He wasn't really helping or anything."
Additionally, Erin also claims that her new pram has been broken and plans to take further action on the matter.
Erin said: "I'm definitely taking it further because it's ridiculous and it's happened to other people. I'll definitely not leave this alone. It's not fair."
Fran Wilkinson, Customer and Growth Director for Transport for Greater Manchester, said: “I was shocked to hear what happened to Erin and her daughter on Monday, 23 February. I spoke to Erin to personally apologise and check how they are both doing.
“Safety is a top priority for the Bee Network. We are working with the operator to investigate what happened.”
Erin said: "This could have been far worse. I believe this raises serious safety concerns about passenger welfare and procedures being followed correctly, especially for parents travelling with young children; Even wheelchair users.
"I'm definitely not leaving it because Arla-Mae's face is all cut and grazed.
"I had to go to hospital with her and they thought she might have to have her eyebrow glued because it looked that bad.
