A Wigan road traffic collision has caused a number of lane closures with emergency services at the scene
Emergency services have attended a collision in Wigan town centre, with some lane closures in place.
Drivers are warned of road closures in Wigan town centre after a large vehicle overturned.
The incident happened on Caroline Street on Wednesday afternoon.
Emergency services are currently at the scene and lane closures are in place.
A police spokesman said: “Officers are currently on scene dealing with a road traffic collision on Caroline Street, Wigan and as a result, there are a number of lane closures in place on Chapel Lane in both directions.
“Traffic can continue to pass along Chapel Lane in the direction of Westwood Way and into Wigan town centre, however there is currently no access to Caroline Street or the surrounding streets.
“Please find an alternative route to avoid delays and congestion.
“We thank you for your patience whilst we deal with this incident and will pass further updates once the incident is resolved.”
