Hunt for hit-and-run driver

A PEDESTRIAN suffered a broken leg in a hit-and-run road smash.

Police today appealed for witnesses to the collision which happened at around 11.40am on Tuesday, November 4 in Lowton.

The 62-year-old victim was crossing Newton Road near to the junction with Rowan Avenue, when he was hit by a white Fiat Punto.

A member of the public followed the car and it was last seen turning left onto Parkside Road, near to Trebaron Garden Centre.
