Jewellery store's owner admits its future is in doubt
Neil Kay Jewellery could close in the next few weeks, the owner of the business Neil Kay told the Evening Post, but he will continue to trade online.
The independent business has been open in the town since 1987 and is currently based at the Royal Arcade, just off Standishgate.

Mr Kay said: “I am not closing the shop down yet.
“The closing down sale is to get rid of some stock. The business is definitely not closing as we have a strong online base.
“As for the shop, I will probably make a decision on it in the next four weeks.
“We have offices upstairs from which we run the online business so we are deciding what to do with the shop.”
The shop, which advertises diamond jewellery and pre-owned watches, has been a target for a number of raids by would-be thieves in the last few years.
