Lorry crashes into bridge causing road closure in Wigan
Police have closed a Wigan road after a lorry hit a bridge.

The vehicle struck the bridge on Prescott Street in Wigan at around 11.40am on Wednesday.
Police and fire crews are at the scene while the road is currently closed at the junction of Prescott Street and Frog Lane.

Hide AdA GMP spokesman said: "At around 11.40am this morning (Wednesday, May 27) police were called to Prescott Street in Wigan to reports of a collision between a lorry and a bridge.
"Fire service and police are at the scene.
"The road is currently closed at the junction of Prescott Street and Frog Lane.
"Anyone with information should contact police on 101 quoting incident number 905 of May 27. "
