Man critical after motorway smash


The incident happened at around 8.15am on Monday when a lorry collided with the central reservation of the M62 west bound, near to junction 21, Milnrow.
The lorry went through the reservation, onto the opposite side, colliding with ten vehicles.

Hide AdThe 37-year-old lorry driver was airlifted to hospital and remains in a critical condition with a head injury.
A 30-year-old man suffered whiplash and a 53-year-old man sustained a leg injury.
The M62 at Milnrow was closed in both directions for a number of hours but has since reopened.

Officers are also asking anyone who may have captured footage on CCTV or a dash-cam to contact them.
