Man denies stamping on girlfriend’s face

A man accused of stamping on his girlfriend’s face in front of their seven-year-old son has made his first appearance at court.

Paul Wolfe, a 44-year-old scaffolder, of Gamble Road, Thornton, pleaded not guilty to assault.

The offence is alleged to have taken place on July 12.

The prosecution opposed an application for bail for Wolfe.

Wolfe was bailed to September 10 for trial by Blackpool magistrates.

He must lived at an address in Ellisland, Marton, keep a 9pm to 6am tagged curfew, and not contact his partner or enter Gamble Road.
