A man brandishing a meat cleaver and a knife was arrested this morning at a Wigan town centre branch of McDonald's.
And officers responding to the incident had to draw a Taser on the man, but fortunately did not have to use it.
Police were called to the fast food establishment on Standishgate at around 6.10am on Monday 15 October, to reports of a man with a meat cleaver and a knife.
Officers attended and a 35-year-old man was arrested just 10 minutes later, on suspicion of possession of a bladed article.
He remains in custody for questioning.
There have been no reported injuries or reports of people being threatened.
