Fitness Column - Don’t be beaten by holiday blues

THE weather’s on the turn and most of us are either returning from our summer holiday and getting ready to book the next or we’re still excited about leaving a drizzly England for somewhere exotic.

What ever your situation you’ve still got to keep that health kick up!

Most people return from holidays and that’s when the binge eating starts and you totally forget you ever even went to the gym because the blues have totally taken over your life.

It’s time to kick that habit and keep upbeat and healthy no matter what!

Firstly start out by keeping yourself in a routine, soon this routine will become a habit and working out will be second nature – it may even be an excuse to get some down time, talk about added bonus! Eating healthy constantly is tough, so when you get the urge for a chocolate bar, eat one.

The longer you leave that urge the worse it will get, usually resulting in the ultimate binge at the local shop.

My advice is to take baby steps and keep motivated, nothing comes easy but it sure does pay off when you work hard.
