Passenger terror as new attack launched on bus

Passengers escaped unhurt when a window was damaged in the latest of a series of attacks on buses.

A woman travelling on the 628 bus reported on social media that it was “shot at” as it travelled along Norley Hall Avenue, in Norley Hall, at around 8.50pm on Friday.

She was not able to confirm if a gun or some kind of air weopon was used or if something was thrown at the vehicle.

The bus was operated by Stagecoach and a window was damaged by the unidentified missile.

And a spokesman for Stagecoach Manchester said: “I can confirm that the window of a bus was damaged in an incident on the 628 service on Norley Hall Avenue on Friday, February 3.

“There were no reported injuries.

“Passenger safety is our utmost priority at Stagecoach Manchester and the incident has been reported to Greater Manchester Police.”
