Floral tributes left for young man who ‘always had a smile on his face’

Floral tributes have been left to a popular young man described as a “kind, caring and lovely lad”, who has died.

The tributes to Oliver Wane, which also include cards and balloons have been placed near Martland Mill on the fishing lodges side of Scot Lane, Wigan.

One message said: “Oliver, may you always have an angel by your side. All our love, Lynne, Sean and Katie.”

Friends have also taken to Facebook to pay their respects to Oliver, aged about 20, who was from Westhoughton and was a pupil at Westhoughton High School and Runshaw College.
