Spooky 'Halloween Wellie Walk' for Wigan families

Looking to keep the kids entertained in the borough during the spooky season?

Covid-19 has caused many to come up with inventive and safe ways for their children to enjoy Halloween this year.

And the virus won’t ruin the fun for Wigan youngsters, with Windy Arbour Farm Shop, in Billinge, set to host its first ever Halloween Wellie Walks.

Taking in the fresh air, children can stroll the tracks of the farm, which dates back more than 150 years, and collect puzzle answers.

On the walk, they can also meet some special ‘guests’ and look out for some spooky surprises.

Tickets are priced at £25 and will give people access to the walk and a chance to choose two locally grown pumpkins, receive a goodie bag containing special treats, some local offers, route map and more. Partner Geoff Rigby, said: “This is a family event so there’s nothing too scary or dangerous, it's perfect for everyone.”

As well as this and for an extra spook, families can enjoy dusk walks which will take around and hour and finish before official sunset.
