Wigan pensioner receives birthday cards from around the world as she turns 100

Belong care village, in Platt Bridge, had appealed for people to send cards to Lily to mark her 100th birthday.
A total of 248 cards arrived – including one from a nephew she had not seen for 50 years, another from a woman in Utah with the same name and a special card from the Queen.
Lily, who celebrated with afternoon tea, said: "Thank you all so much, God bless you all."
