Ten people charged after organised crime raids

Officers from Greater Manchester Police searched 15 properties in a crackdown on organised crime yesterday, Wednesday.

The warrants were executed as part of an ongoing investigation into organised crime groups in Salford, after detectives identified a criminal network involved in drugs supply and money laundering.

Mark Smith, 26, of Lune Street, Tyldesley, was charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs and has been remanded into custody to appear at Manchester Crown Court on April 7.

Four other men from Tyldesley, Jamie Grundy, 23, of Prospect Street, Jake Barratt, 26, of Wardley Road, Callum Green, 23, of Lever Street, and Daniel Smith, 22, of Linton Road, face the same charge but have been bailed to appear at the same time.

Stacey Bradley, 37, of Wardley Road, Tyldesley. was also charged but appeared at Manchester Crown Court on today.

Four other men from Salford and Timperley were also charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs and have been remanded to appear at Manchester Crown Court Crown Square on April 7.

Two further people arrested have been bailed pending further enquiries.
