Tributes paid to teen killed in road smash

Tributes have been paid to Elise Kelly, 16, who sadly died in hospital after suffering serious injuries when a blue BMW collided with a bollard and a garden wall on Warrington Road in Lower Ince in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Her family were too upset to give a tribute but hundreds of Wiganers took to social media to express their horror and sadness at the tragic events.

A Facebook group called R.I.P. Elise Kelly has already received more than 3,300 likes and many people left personal messages to pay their respects to Elise.

KarlaLee New wrote: “This is for a beautiful young woman - I’ve no pictures of us when we was young but I remember the things we did together and everyone will miss you.

“U be in our hearts forever I will miss you loads R.I.P. Elise xxx.”

Nicola Taylor wrote: “Sorry for your loss to her family. Elise you were way too young and will be missed x.”

Kev Lyon wrote: “Rest in peace x another angel to the skies x.”

The community Facebook page also asked anyone who knew Elise to share their memories of her online.
