Tributes paid to young woman found dead

The body of Holly Bradbury, 23, was discovered at an address on Chorley Road, Standish, at around 5.50pm on Monday and police have confirmed that her death is not being treated as suspicious.

Holly hailed from Standish and was a former Standish High School pupil.

Friends took to social media to pay tribute to their “beautiful” and “funny” friend as news of her death broke.

And Holly’s brother Luke went online to thank everyone for their messages of support.

Becky Louise Thorpe wrote: “I can’t believe I’m having to write this. RIP Holly Bradbury you were one of my best friends in Australia I don’t know what I would’ve done without you there .

“We had so much fun together memories I’ve made for a lifetime. You were always so crazy but such a loving person, I wish we had kept in contact more than we did.

“Life really is too short I really can’t believe it a beautiful woman taken far too early. Thinking of your family at this sad time.”

A former colleague Jack Sullivan said: “Shocked and saddened to hear more terrible news that Holly Bradbury has passed away.

“You were an amazing and funny girl to work with. Always bubbly and lively, putting a smile on anyone’s face. Rest in peace, Bradders. Thoughts and prayers to your friends and family at this difficult time. You will be missed.”

Laura Cuthbert wrote: “Cannot actually believe what I’ve just heard! Absolutely devastated.

“So heartbreaking, can’t believe I’m saying this, RIP Holly such a beautiful, bubbly, happy, funny girl taken away far too young. Thinking of everyone at this awfully sad time. RIP Angel.”

Keiron Thompson said: “Just had the worst news ever. One of my good friends has sadly passed away, I can’t believe it.

“Going to miss you so much Holly and our crazy nights out. I love you, RIP Angel. Shine bright.”

Joanna Spencer said: “What a sad day. One of the funniest and craziest girls I ever had the pleasure of meeting. RIP Holly Bradbury, sleep tight angel.”

Hannah Latham added: “Such sad news. RIP Holly Bradbury a lovely, fun and beautiful girl gone far too young.”

Manda Jayne Lacey wrote: “RIP Holly Bradbury such a beautiful girl who has passed away, I didn’t know her very well, but heaven has definitely gained another angel.

“Condolences to her family and friends who knew her in Standish. Such a sad time.”

The Wigan Evening Post attempted to contact the Bradbury family but they were unavailable.

A file has been passed to the coroner and an inquest is expected to open in the next few days.
