The incident happened outside the Picasso Pizzeria on King Street West last month and detectives have today stepped up their investigations by releasing the photos.

Police were called to the takeaway at 03.50am on Sunday January 17 after reports of a “verbal altercation” between a 53-year-old man and three other men.

Police Constable Stephen Lilley said: “This man has suffered serious injuries and is still recovering from his injuries. We have released CCTV images of three men we would like to speak to so we can establish the full circumstances and would ask if anyone recognises them, or was there at the time, that they call police.”
