Two men charged with assisting an offender

Two men have been charged with assisting an offender after a woman was killed when she was hit by a car.

Ludovic Mabiala, 24, of Hypatia Street, Bolton, and Nqobile Arnold Mariwandi, 26, of Patterson Street, Bolton, have both been charged with assisting an offender.

They are due to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court today, Saturday 27 February 2016.

On Tuesday February 2, Tinashe Irvine Chikoto, 22, of Devonshire Road, Atherton, was charged with causing death by dangerous driving, failing to stop at the scene of a collision, failing to report a collision, causing death whilst unlicensed, driving a motor vehicle without insurance, driving whilst unfit through drugs and perverting the course of justice.

He is due to appear at Bolton Crown Court on Wednesday, March 2.

At 10pm on Sunday, January 31, a woman, later named as 52-year-old Louise Wolstenholme, crossed over Bow Street at the junction of Crown Street when she fell over.

A short time later, a bus and two vehicles are seen on CCTV slowing down and driving around her. There was a short break in traffic before another car, a Ford Focus, collided with her.

The car pulled up on Back Bridge Street and the driver abandoned the vehicle before contacting police later that night.
