But the new arrival for care assistant Leah Crompton and labourer Jason Pye will no doubt catch on quick.

The little smasher, who was born at Wigan Infirmary weighing eight pounds and six ounces, is now the fifth female lining up for family photos.

“We’ve had some boys, along the way, but it’s mostly been girls in our family,” said the 57-year-old.

Evie-Jae is also the apple of great-great gran Brenda Whittle’s eye and gran Lisa Lowe, 39, is also besotted.

Brenda and Tina are originally from Hesketh Bank, near Southport.

But they moved to the Hindley area when Tina’s late father Alan began work at the town’s fire station and the rest of the family are Hindley born and bred.

Tina, who is married to Malcolm, who works as an asbestor stripper, has been the landlady at The Banner for nearly 12 years now, where Lisa also works.

The family held a large gathering at the Banner Street hostelry last Friday to officially welcome Evie-Jae to the world.
