'˜Bogle needs to keep feet on the ground'

He may have burst onto the scene at the DW Stadium with a stunning debut, but Warren Joyce wants Omar Bogle to keep his feet on the ground.

As Latics go looking for a rare win at Fulham this afternoon, Joyce’s transfer window capture from Grimsby (pictured right) will be looking to build on his two-goal start last Tuesday with more magic.

But Joyce says the 24-year-old’s remit is to keep improving.

“We’ve gone for a younger, hungrier one who wants to develop and wants to improve,” acknowledged the Latics boss.

“That’s the remit at this club.

“He’s come to the club with the objective to get better. He has a great desire to improve and as long as he does that and takes it a game at a time and works hard every day, taking one day at a time, that’s the only thing that I look for him to do.

“He’s certainly got some desire and as long as he keeps his feet on the ground and works hard every day he’ll have a bright future.”

Latics head into today’s game at Craven Cottage looking for a first win at the ground since 2006, and could leapfrog Blackburn Rovers with a
win.

Fulham are 10th in the table coming from the back of a 1-0 loss to Birmingham last weekend.
