Callum McManaman on target in Wigan Athletic friendly victory

FA Cup hero Callum McManaman opened the scoring in Latics' 5-1 friendly win against Bolton Wanderers today.

Joe Garner fired in a hat-trick, with the fifth goal coming from a substitute trialist, thought to be Will Keane, who had a spell on loan at Latics in 2013/14.

McManaman - who has had two spells with Latics and was man of the match in the 2013 FA Cup triumph against Man City - is training with Latics to keep his fitness up ahead of the new season.

After his opener in the Tuesday afternoon match at Euxton, Nathan Delfouneso levelled for the visitors in the first-half in a game played in challenging conditions.

Nathan Byrne, Cedric Kipre and Kal Naismith all played for Latics, as well as free agent Gary Roberts.

But Jamal Lowe, linked with a move away, and captain Sam Morsy didn't figure.

It followed a friendly 2-1 loss to Carlisle on Saturday.
