Both players joined Latics on initial one-month deals on the eve of the campaign.

But the club has moved quickly to extended the contracts, which were due to expire this week.

Solomon-Otabor, 24, has provided two assists in his opening four league games, and has nailed down a regular starting spot.

Gardner, 30, has made four appearances in all competitions for John Sheridan’s side so far this campaign.

Meanwhile defender Clarke, who also signed for Latics last month, has left the club after his contract was ended by mutual consent.

The ex-Brentford man was injured in training before he could even play for the first team.
